The AI Underground

A conference for people building the future of freedom with AI. From open weight models to open source agents, the AI Underground brings together the minds building AI into a technology of liberation.
The Lineup
Lineup announced in waves. The names below are the kind of builder we book: people who run real models in a real room, not roadmap theater. Real speakers swap in as we confirm them.

More coming soon
We confirm new speakers in waves. Watch this space.
WANT TO SPEAK AT THE SHOW?
Pitch us a talk. Real tools, real demos, things builders can take home and run.
What you leave with
- 01A local model running on your own machine before you leave the room
- 02An agent loop you understand line by line, not a black box
- 03Eval habits that tell you when you broke something
- 04A short list of open tools worth your weekend
- 05The names and handles of people building the same things you are
- 06Zero slide decks about artificial general intelligence
The Venue
ATL BitLabbasement show
ATL BitLab is a hackerspace in Atlanta. Soldering irons, a laser cutter, a wall of stickers, and people who would rather build the thing than talk about building the thing. For one weekend we turn it into a venue. Same energy as a warehouse show, swap the amps for GPUs.
- LOCATION
- ATL BitLab, Atlanta, GA
- WHEN
- August 15-16, 2026
- VIBE
- Hackerspace turned basement show
- WIFI
- Yes. Bring your own laptop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Read the small print
01Do I need to be an expert?
No. You need to be building or trying to. This is a room for people doing the work at any level, not for people watching from the cheap seats.
02Is this a frontier-lab keynote thing?
No. There are no product launches and no roadmap theater. We care about open models, agents you can run, and workflows you can copy on Monday.
03What should I bring?
Your laptop, your charger, and something you are stuck on. Half the value is the person next to you unsticking it.
04Will sessions be recorded?
Some. The good parts of a basement show do not record well, so come in person if you can.
05Who is actually speaking?
Speakers are TBA. The lineup above is the kind of builder we book. We announce names closer to the date.
06Why Atlanta?
Because ATL BitLab is here, the scene is real, and the rent is not San Francisco. Atlanta builds quietly and ships loudly.
